About: In late 1985, nine young entrepreneurs banded together and formed the association, with the broad and noble objective of promoting the growth of an indigenous electronic industry in the Philippines.
By helping nurture member companies with original design capabilities, the association hoped to contribute to nationbuilding thru employment generation and the creation of wealth for the member companies, their subcontractors, their suppliers, their employees, and further down the line, tax revenues for government.
Programs & Projects:
Vision: An Association dedicated to the growth of the Philippine electronics industry towards global competitiveness, while espousing the principles of good corporate citizenship and care for the environment.
Mission:
Objectives: The association hoped to contribute to nationbuilding thru employment generation and the creation of wealth for the member companies, their subcontractors, their suppliers, their employees, and further down the line, tax revenues for government and to provide encouragement and support for an indigenous electronics industry particularly small and medium size Filipino enterprises engaged in original design manufacturing.
