NATIONAL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES WEB PRESENCE
2nd Semester 2012 State of Web Presence of National Government Agencies
Results are now available for the state of web presence among national government agencies (NGAs) as of December 2012. Of the total three hundred twenty six (326) NGAs, 93.87 percent or three hundred six (306) NGAs have web presence while 6.13 percent or twenty (20) NGAs have no web presence.
Total number of NGAs has been changed from three hundred twenty two (322) to three hundred twenty six (326) due to the following reasons: Merging of Board of Liquidators (BOL) with Privatization and Management Office (PMO); Merging of the two attached agencies of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) namely the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCARRD) and the Philippine Council for Aquatic and Marine Research and Development (PCAMRD) now named the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD); and the newly created seven (7) NGAs based on GAA 2012 namely the Public-Private Partnership Center of the Philippines (PPPC), Climate Change Commission (CCC), Governance Commission for Government-Owned or Controlled Corporations (GCGOV), Mindanao Development Authority (MINDA), Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office (PCDSPO), Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), and Credit Information Corporation (CIC).
According to the UN-ASPA Five Stages of eGovernment, twelve (12) NGAs or 3.92 percent are in Stage 4 (transactional web presence), ninety four (94) NGAs or 30.72 percent are in Stage 3 (interactive web presence), one hundred fifty seven (157) NGAs or 51.31 percent are in Stage 2 (enhanced web presence), and forty three (43) NGAs or 14.05 percent are in Stage 1 (emerging web presence).

STATE UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES WEB PRESENCE
Status of Web Presence of State Universities and Colleges as of December 2012
Results are now available for the status of web presence of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) as of December 2012. The total number of SUCs this year, based on 2012 General Appropriation Act (GAA)increased to 112 compared to last year 110 SUCs. Of the total one hundred twelve (112) SUCs, eighty-nine (89)SUCs or 79.46 percent have web presence while twenty three (23) SUCs or 20.54 percent have none.
According to the UN-ASPA Five Stages of eGovernment, thirty two (32) SUCs or 35.96 percent are in Stage 3 (interactive web presence), fifty two (52) SUCs or 58.43 percent are in Stage 2 (enhanced web presence), and five (5) SUCs or 5.62 percent are in Stage 1 (emerging web presence).
